Within Gedeon Richter Romania, the notion of "occupational health and safety" is fully justified, because the objectives set each year underline the existence and functionality of a multidisciplinary system of theoretical concepts, legislative acts, technical, socio-economic, organisational, hygiene and occupational medicine measures and means, etc.

In this context, it can be said that it is not only the elimination, or reduction of occupational accidents and diseases that defines prevention and protection activities, but also the creation of working conditions that ensure the physical, psychological and social comfort of workers.

The safety and health of employees is ensured in all aspects of work, which involves carrying out activities to reduce and eliminate occupational hazards, replacing what is dangerous with what is non-dangerous, informing and training workers and, last but not least, planning prevention activities.

In 2020 the occupational health and safety management system was implemented and certified in accordance with the requirements of SR EN ISO 45001:2018. In September of the same year, the Integrated Quality-Environment-Health and Safety Management System was certified by the URS ROMANIA Certification Body.

The Integrated Quality-Environment-Health and Safety Management System is externally audited annually.
