In view of the extraordinary situation caused by the coronavirus epidemic and the challenges facing Hungarian healthcare institutions, Gedeon Richter Plc. has decided to offer a financial aid of HUF 2 million to each of the hospitals and clinics that have participated in its Health City programme. Over the past 10 years, Richter has supported these health care institutions with donations totalling HUF 380 million, now this amount is being increased by an additional HUF 140 million. The 70 Hungarian hospitals and clinics will receive Richter's donation of HUF 140 million as emergency financial assistance, readily available and free to use.

Besides supporting the treatment and health preservation of the Hungarian people with its innovative, high-quality products, Gedeon Richter Plc., as a responsible pharmaceutical company, is also committed to enhancing health awareness and supporting the Hungarian public healthcare system. To this end, Richter has been successfully organizing the Richter Health City's nationwide screening and health education programme for 10 years, in the framework of which it also offers significant donations to local health institutions cooperating in the organisation of each stage of the programme. The company has so far cooperated with 70 hospitals and specialist clinics, which received a total of nearly HUF 380 million in support from the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

With regard to the current pandemic and the challenges it presents for healthcare services, Richter's management has decided to support the former participants of the Health City program with a contribution of HUF 140 million that is, HUF 2 million per institution.
